With God all things are possible...without Him I can do NOTHING!
As I look back at this week I see God's Hand moving in the midst of a storm. I see His peace ruling in our hearts. This week my husband almost died due to complications of his heart. BUT GOD! Through out the whole ordeal God gave us such a peace...I praise God for prayer warriors that were battling in the heavenlies with us! Jehovah Rapha - God our healer- showed up and brought my husband home!
Reading God's word this week I found many verses that showed me what God was doing, Who He is in the midst of our storms, and how we need to respond to His goodness! God owes us nothing, but because He loves us so much (John 3:16 " For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.") He made the ultimate sacrifice and closed the chasm between Himself and us. Without Christ we would forever be seperated by our sin.
In the midst of this week I had alot of time to seek peace from Jehovah Shalom - God our Peace.
Romans 16:20 "And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen."
1 Cor. 4:13 "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints."
Phillippians 4:7 "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Lev. 20:24 "But I said to you, “You will possess their land; I will give it to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the nations."
God taught me to trust Him completely this week, even with my loved ones lives, letting go of the control I thought I had.The enemy thought he had won this week, BUT GOD turned this week around to a victory shout and testimony of His Healing Power and Grace! I know that God is taking us into Bigger, despite the enemy's attempts to stop us, scare us, and distract us.
The key verse He gave me this week after Phil came home was 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 "As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you."I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation." My prayer is that I never take God's grace for granted...I intend to cherish everyday that He has blessed us with.
I am so thankful to have my husband by my side and moving forward into Bigger....Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God has our future in His hands, from start to finish, we have to learn to trust Him, obey Him even when we don't understand, pray for discernment, and know that He is Big enough to handle it all!!!
The Jones family will walk into 2012 with the favor of God on them, we will fight, we won't back down and we will walk into BIGGER for HIM and HIS GLORY in Jesus name!
